A Comprehensive Overview of the Construction Process

Phase I: Planning & Design

In this initial phase, the Pinnacle Construction Management (PCM) team works closely with our client to review the “as-built” area for the project. We will then begin brainstorming on the design which will create the plan. The details of how to successfully transform the space into an area that exceeds the client’s expectations will be laid out. This will include sub-steps/phases covering: As-Built Plan Development, Design Phase, Final Plan Development, and Permit Plan Development.

Phase II: Buyout Development

In this second phase, the client gathers/captures all their design ideas, style desires, desires for features, components, usages of the area, etc. from pictures, advertisements, catalogs, and so on.

This will eventually lead to selections for the finishes based on Vendor Quotes/Pricing. After these are all reviewed, final selections made and quotes decided on/approved, our PCM Team takes all these inputs to develop the Buyout Proforma. This is reviewed and approved by the client to move the project into the next phase which is when construction execution begins.

Phase III: Project Start-up & Rough-In

This is the phase in which the client begins to see the transformation of their space toward its evolution into the new space planned from all the hard work in the prior 2 phases. The approved Buyout Proforma becomes the Management Proforma from which these next 2 phases are managed against. Construction work begins to remove the old space and create the skeleton of the features, components, etc. of the new/transformed space-the “Rough-In” as it is referred to in the construction industry.

Phase IV: Final Finishes

This is the phase when our clients typically get very excited as the final design truly becomes visible as the final finishes are added to the roughed-in space. It is a very exciting time for the client as well as our PCM Team. The fruits of all the hard work to date begin to show true excitement and appreciation in our client’s eyes as the transformed space blossoms into their imagined desires, and even more. The PCM Team’s pride shows, as we are able to illustrate the true qualities of our team’s skills and craftsmanship.
